Sorry about the lack of outfit of the day posts! I’ve been busy lately and have fallen into they comfy rut of yoga pants and capris! Yikes! But, I’m hoping planning a cute outfit for tomorrow since I have a job interview tomorrow! I also thought I would do a segment called “Trendy Tuesdays” where every Tuesday I bring you the latest trend and show you how to wear it! 🙂 I hope to start this next Tuesday. Thanks for the patience everyone! Have a great week!
So I don’t know about you, but one of the most difficult things for me is to get motivated. Whether it’s studying or going to the rec center I have trouble getting myself to actually do something. I have to bribe myself with a ten minute study break or doing nothing for the rest of the day. Most of the time I end up talking myself out of it if I can put it off until the last minute.
I am a lazy person. I’m just gonna lay it on the table. It’s a habit that I’ve been trying to work on for a while with some mild success. I’ve been doing a much better job at studying this semester than last semester. I have yet to work myself up to going to the rec center, but I have been doing workouts in my dorm. Baby steps, right? The only time I am motivated is if a project or assignment has a definite deadline. Then, I’ll make a schedule in my planner of what I will do on what days. Having a to do list helps me fight off my inner sloth. However, my to do lists don’t always get done.
I tend to make excuses when I’m feeling even the slightest bit lazy. One of my most popular excuses is, “Well, my roommate isn’t studying” or “I don’t want to go alone.” I don’t know why I feel like I can’t do anything by myself but it is preventing me from doing things I really want to do. I need to break out of my comfort zone.
My current roommate is my best friend since pre-k. We’ve been through everything together and always joke that we’re the “same person”. People are always getting us confused with each other and we just kind of go with it. We decided to not room together next year in hopes to make new friends and not have to depend on each other as much as we do now. I’m sure this agreement will not ruin our BFF status but strengthen it and help us with self discovery.
What do you have trouble with? Motivation? Hygiene? Messiness? Let me know in the comments below!
Hey guys sorry about the lack of posts! I’ve had a busy weekend! Hope to get back on track tomorrow! 🙂
I never struggled with my weight until I hit puberty. I was a very active child who hardly ever ate junk food… I’m a picky eater and to get me to eat anything before I was 11 was a feat in itself. However, I eventually learned the joys of binge eating Oreo’s and watching TV all day. I never got obese and hopefully never will but I did end up with a big butt and a not so flat belly. I’ve been gaining weight and losing it on and off for the past couple of years and I have decided that enough is enough. Since December I’ve been trying to eat healthier and work out more. With a few simple life changes I’ve noticed a difference in my body… Not a major difference but a difference none the less. Here is what I have been doing….
1. Drinking green tea once a day.
Green tea not only boosts your metabolism but it decreases tumor growth, reduces risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes, and even dental cavities! It is delicious and one of my favorite drinks! Along with drinking green tea I also try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Pretty much all I drink is tea and water but I’ve noticed I don’t drink enough during the day.
2. Working out at least 3 times a week.
I’m still trying to work myself up to going to my university’s rec center, but I try to do about at least a 15 minute workout 3 times a week and walk with my mom on the weekends. The workouts I do are simple and can be done at home without any equipment. I take the stairs as much as I can.Luckily, my campus has a lot of stairs and hills so I use those to my advantage. I’m still trying to work myself up to going to my university’s rec center.
3. Eat vegetables and fruit at least once a day.
Like I mentioned before I’m a very picky eater and don’t really care for most vegetables and fruit. However, I try to eat fruit first thing when I wake up in the morning. I love watermelon, bananas, and apples. For lunch or dinner I will get a sub sandwich on a wheat bun with turkey, light mayo, american cheese and spinach (my favorite veggie).
What do you do to stay healthy? Let me know in the comments below! Thanks! 🙂

Do you watch Pretty Little Liars? Who is your favorite? Mine is Aria if you couldn’t tell. I’m pretty upset about the whole Ezria situation at the moment. 😦
